Money movement with an audit trail attached

A fintech operations platform where every balance traces to its transactions and month-end stops being archaeology.

Vertical
Fintech
Stack
Next.js · TypeScript · PostgreSQL · Stripe

Every number on the dashboard traces to the transactions behind it — reconciliation became a report to read, not a hunt to run.

Context

Operynos handles financial operations where the classic failure mode was already visible: money moving through more systems than any one report covered, and a spreadsheet quietly doing a compliance job it never applied for.

The problem

When balances live in exports, every discrepancy is an investigation. Month-end meant stitching statements together by hand, and "why doesn't this match?" was a question that could eat a day. Worse, the audit trail was reconstructable rather than recorded.

What Haven built

  • A double-entry ledger as the source of truth — every balance is a sum, never a stored guess
  • Reconciliation against processor and bank records, with mismatches surfaced instead of discovered
  • Payment flows via Stripe, keeping card data — and most PCI DSS scope — on Stripe's side
  • An audit log on every money-touching action: who, what, when, and the before and after
  • Operations dashboards where each number carries its own definition

Results

Balances are now answers, not opinions. Discrepancies surface as flagged rows rather than end-of-month surprises, and the audit trail is recorded as it happens instead of reconstructed when someone asks.
